  6. Return to the oven for 20 minutes without the foil.
  7. Serve in warm bowls with some crusty bread

I substituted kielbasa for the chicken sausage, added two chopped onions to the recipe. Omitted the honey mustard and seasoned with a drizzle of good EVOO, salt, pepper, tsp of fennel seed, and a squeeze of fresh orange juice and a tsp of brown sugar on the apples. A really quick, easy and budget friendly stove top recipe, suitable as a weekday meal or a gathering! Fantastic flavors using lovely fresh ingredients. Options for slow cooker and multi cooker too.
